MESSAGE FROM JAMES BRYAN TO HIS FANS!

The summer of 2005 has been amazing! Lots of sunshine, some great outdoor
festivals and lots of beautiful people. I want to thank everyone who came out
to meet us and chat after the shows; it means a lot to me. Now that there's a
hint of fall in the air, i've gone back indoors to perform. I just had a
really nice show in London(Ontario) at the Grand Theater, a beautiful
hundred year old venue downtown. My band and I opened up for our good friends
Jacksoul, so the vibe was great, lots of love backstage as well as from the
balconies. I've worked in the studio with them before, writing and playing on
several tracks on their album "Sleepless", but this was the first time we
shared a stage, and we tore it up! Who knew people partied like that in
London?! Our friend, Sabina, from worldvision, was also there, and I want to
thank the people who signed up to be child sponsors after the show, it makes
the night even more special.
Also, my song "Higher" is starting to make some waves on the street in the UK
among certain radio and club dj's, which is really exciting. So stay
tuned, hopefully we'll be touring there soon. I have to run back into the
studio now, in case you haven't heard, my OTHER band, The Philosopher Kings, are
putting the finishing touches on a new album, which will be out later this
fall, more about that later...

UPDATE!

Hello everyone! The summer has been amazing so far! Me and the band hit the
road at the beginning of July and have had some incredible shows! It started
on Canada Day, at the old port in Montreal, where we played to over 15 000
people. We had to battle some thunderstorms but the energy from everyone was
so good; it could have been sunny skies! I caught some inspiring shows too, by the Brazilian Girls and Feist, before leaving town.
The next day, we flew to Vancouver to open for K-OS in the middle of
Stanley Park, home to some of the biggest and oldest trees i've ever seen! The
show was great, and we sold out of cds with three more shows to go out
west! Next, we took a ferry to Victoria; where we played for their famous folk
fest. After a bike ride around the bay, we headed back to the mainland the
next morning to play Whistler. There was no skiing, but everyone was ready to
party anyway, and the show was great. The last BC show was in Kamloops, and
after almost getting lost in the mountains,we made it in time to open for
K-OS again; another great night.
Last week, we were lucky enought to open for Indie Irie at the Ottawa
Blues festival. We played outside to over 7000 people ,with the parliament
buildings lit up behind us. I've never seen Ottawa so live before, it was
great!
I want to thank everyone, who came to the shows, for helping to take our
energy higher, and higher..
Our next show is this weekend, Saturday, July 23rd, as part of the Beaches
Jazzfest, in my hometown, Toronto! We play at 1pm,see you there,

James Bryan Bio

One of the by-products of living in our global village is that our only musical limits are those of our own imagination. Flamenco meets filter-disco? Brazilian samba meets '80s dance-pop? African folk meets epic breakbeats? All it takes is talent and inspiration, two qualities which James Bryan certainly possesses. As he proves on his solo debut, Beautiful World, the less likely the hybrid, the more exhilarating the result.

James is one of Canada's best-respected young guitarists, producers and songwriters, having penned over a dozen top 40 hits for various artists, co-created The Philosopher Kings and Prozzak and played with a who's-who of the country's rock and pop royalty, but Beautiful World is by any measure a major step. It's an album that at once embraces the world and introduces James to it.
